An instrument is only as good as its last calibration

Customers have relied on UEC's after-sales support for decades. Here's how we keep instruments traceable, accurate and in service — wherever they're installed.

After-sales support

UEC is committed to customer satisfaction through prompt after-sales service, built on total quality control with an emphasis on innovation rather than modification. Several service engineers respond to installation, demonstration and rectification calls worldwide, and local agents in each buyer's home country handle most on-the-ground cases. Our head office backs every visit with full technical support by phone or Internet, and the documentation team keeps manuals and technical references current across our full product range. A demo and installation video is supplied with each instrument, making calibration and testing procedures straightforward from day one.

Calibration certificates

A calibration certificate is provided free of charge with every new instrument, valid for one year. Once that warranty period expires, the certificate can be reissued after the equipment is recalibrated at the customer's site on a chargeable basis, subject to terms and conditions that vary by location.

Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC)

Our Annual Maintenance Contract covers servicing, rectification and calibration of supplied equipment. Every instrument under an AMC is calibrated against industry-wide, internationally recognised standards, labelled and documented with a UEC calibration record. Records are held in UEC's own database and a copy is furnished after each visit or on request — scheduled maintenance that reduces service calls and downtime, and helps improve lab productivity.

Availability of spare parts

UEC keeps spare parts and consumables for its full catalogue in stock for as long as it is economical and practicable to do so, so replacements ship promptly in almost every case. Where a part isn't held ex-stock — typically for older or special-order equipment — it can be manufactured to order on request.
